Carol Richardson Obituary, Death – Carol Richardson, 82, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, on Thursday, March 23, 2023. On December 31, 1940, she was born to Carl and Helen (Nichols) Wells in Briscoe, Missouri. When Carol was eight years old, her father died, and the family moved to St. Louis. She attended high school and eventually graduated from Central here. She was 25 when she tied the knot with Walter Lee Richardson in St. Louis on April 30, 1966.
The couple tied the knot and settled in South St. Louis, where they eventually had two children. She was an active P.T.O. member and room mother during her children’s school years. After Carol’s children were grown, the family relocated to O’Fallon, Missouri, and she started working for MEMC. This was in 1971. She had a wonderful 18 years there before she finally retired. Carol attended several Bluegrass concerts and festivals. She made friends for life with a lot of people. Carol was the kind of friend who would always have your back. Carol’s grin was infectious, and she was seldom without a friend. Talking on the phone, especially with loved ones, was one of her favorite things to do.
Her two daughters, Sherry Ann Hill of Hallsville, Missouri, and Carol Leigh Schulte of Winfield, as well as her four grandchildren, Aaron (Jawad) Ziegemeier, Clinton (Carlie) Schulte, Chase (Taryn) Schulte, Kelsey (Kyle) Gabris, and four great-grandchildren, Ella, Brentley, Beau, and Raelynn, and other relatives and friends, will miss her dearly. Carol’s parents, husband, and sister all passed away before her. Visitation will be held at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory in Troy on March 29, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 10 a.m., at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory in Troy, there will be a funeral ceremony. The Reverend Tim Farris will preside. Aaron Ziegemeier, Clint Schulte, Chase Schulte, Kyle Gabris, Rick Schulte, Jason Hill, and Jawad Ziegemeier and Leroy Gladney will be serving as pallbearers.
