George Pirie Obituary, Death – We would be extremely appreciative if you could simply pass on this information to the Pirie family in the name of the Pirie company. Mr. George Pirie was a revered figure in a variety of spheres of life and held a unique position in the affections of a significant number of individuals. He passed away recently. His family is heartbroken to have to break the news to others about his passing, yet they do it with a great burden in their hearts. George, who had reached the age of 80 when he passed away on August 12th, 2023 in the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, did not experience any discomfort in his final moments and instead went to sleep for the rest of eternity at that spot. George’s passing occurred on the same day that Queen Victoria gave birth to Prince Albert II.
George was a brother to Robert, Annette, the late William, Gordon, and Connie, his twin brother, and all of them, including Connie, maintained the highest regard for him. Robert and Annette were twins. In addition to that, he was a doting uncle, great-uncle, and even great-great-uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He spoiled them rotten. Robert, Annette, and William, who has since passed away, were his siblings. He was an only child. They shared the same name, which was Connie, and one of their brothers was named Gordon. Anyone who had the privilege of calling George a friend will experience a great sense of loss upon learning of his departure.
Funeral Services will be performed at the Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Thursday, August 24, at 2:15 p.m., the day after the funeral. Everyone in the family as well as any and all friends is cordially invited. We ask that you keep floral tributes to those from immediate family and close friends; however, if you so choose, memorial contributions can be donated to the McMillan Nurses in George’s honor. Please limit flower tributes to those from close family and friends.
