Greg Farmer Obituary, Death – We have some upsetting news to share with all of our backers and followers of the ‘Friends of’ page, and we apologize for having to do so, but we feel forced to do so. I am sorry to inform you all with a heavy heart that our long-time and very active member and friend Greg Farmer passed away unexpectedly in Warrnambool Hospital early last Friday morning following a very brief illness. His passing leaves us all with a void in our community. His death has left a hole in the fabric of our community. I am delivering all of this information to you with a heavy heart because I am aware that it will cause you to feel distressed.
There had been a large period of time that had elapsed there since his previous trip there. After the post of Mt. Leura Project Officer was formed, Greg was the very first person to be given the title of Mt. Leura Project Officer. He held this position for a total of 14 years, during which time he accomplished a great deal that will be remembered for the rest of his life. He will be recognized for this during the remainder of his life. For the rest of his life, he will be known and respected due to this accomplishment. During this trying time, we want Chris, Greg’s wife, and the rest of Greg’s family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that we are thinking of and praying for them.
We ask that you please accept our sincere sympathies on the passing of a loved one. The memorial service for Greg will be conducted at the Camperdown Golf Club the following week, on Friday, August 18, at one o’clock in the afternoon. Following Greg’s departure, the memorial ceremony will be held on the following Friday. As a way to honor Greg and pay our respects to him, a memorial service will be arranged.
