Nancy Shipley Obituary, Death – An announcement of the passing of Nancy Elizabeth Shipley has been made public. On the occasion of Nancy Elizabeth Shipley’s passing away on August 21, 2023, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends. The late Nancy Elizabeth Shipley was a cherished and respected member of our community. Although Nancy Elizabeth Shipley was born in Evansville, Indiana, she ultimately decided to make the journey to Kokomo, Indiana, so that she could call that city her permanent home. Her husband Jim Shipley, her sister Pracilla Brown, and both of her parents, Alfred Johnson and Jean Johnson (Penwell), all went away before she did. Her husband Jim Shipley had passed away before she did. She was the only member of her family to have lived to see another day and she was the sole survivor. She is survived by her two cats, Mindy and Dink; her son Tim Shipley (Timi); her grandkids, Casey Shipley (Hannah), Cody Shipley, Eli Grimes, and Chase McGowan; her sisters Sue Moss (Bob) and Diane Blades (Larry);
and her close friend Johnny Brown. She will be greatly missed. Everyone will grieve her passing in their own unique ways. She is also survived by a number of her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren and the children of her grandchildren. On the evening of Friday, August 25th, 2023, there will be a visitation held at the Stout Funeral Homes and Crematory,
which is situated at 1315 W Lincoln Rd in Kokomo, Indiana 46902. The hours for the visitation are from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral ceremony is scheduled to take place at the same venue at eleven in the morning on Saturday, August 26, 2023. The date and time of the service have not yet been determined. The date as well as the time will not be altered in any way. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in Nancy’s honor to the Marty Meyers Scholarship Fund.
