Donald N. Danner Death, Obituary – Donald N. Danner, a beloved member of the Ipava, IL community, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the age of 72. Born on November 10, 1950, in Canton, IL, he was the cherished son of Richard and Hazel (Robertson) Danner. Donald’s life journey was marked by meaningful connections and profound experiences. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, but he lives on in the hearts of many.
In 1972, Donald entered into a lifelong partnership with Patsy Cable, and together they raised a beautiful family. Their love and union resulted in the joyous presence of three children: Jason (and Staci) Danner of Industry, IL, Jeremy (and Rikee) Danner of Chisago City, MN, and Jessica (and Cale) Hammond of Ipava. The family grew with the addition of six grandchildren: Beau Martin, Sydney Danner, Christian Danner, Max Danner, Macie Hammond, and Jazzlyn Hammond. His legacy extended to three great-grandchildren: Jada, Jacelyn, and River.
Donald’s family circle also included two brothers: Rick Danner of Bushnell, IL, and Marty Danner of Ipava; as well as two sisters: Dixie Lynn Fenner of Colchester, IL, and Zelma May Shughart of Missouri. His connection to his siblings was a testament to the bond of family.
Throughout his professional life, Donald was a dedicated worker at NTN Bowers Corporation in Macomb, IL, where he served as a Maintenance Foreman for an impressive 42 years.
Donald’s true passion lay in his love for the outdoors. He found solace in activities like fishing, horseback riding, hunting, and gardening. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature’s beauty and find peace.
In accordance with his wishes, Donald’s remains were cremated, marking the beginning of a new journey. While he has left our physical world, his impact lives on through the memories and connections he cultivated.
