Doug Bartlett Death, Obituary – It is with deep sorrow that I reach out to you today to share devastating news. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the unexpected passing of Bishop Doug Bartlett. In this time of profound shock and grief, our thoughts and prayers are especially with Bishop Bartlett’s family. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Ann, their children, and grandchildren. May the God of comfort wrap them in His embrace during this journey through the valley of sorrow.
Even in the midst of this darkness, we find solace in the unwavering faith that Bishop Bartlett preached and lived by. His teachings reminded us that death does not have the final say over us. While we grieve the loss of a remarkable leader, a devoted brother in Christ, and a dear friend, we hold onto the hope of eternity. This hope, like an anchor for our souls, guides us through our grief.
As we process this news, let us turn to our Heavenly Father for His soothing comfort and peace. We stand together, seeking solace in the arms of our Savior.
In accordance with the IPHC bylaws, Bishop Beacham has called to affirm the continuity of leadership for our conference. I humbly share with you that, as the Assistant Superintendent duly elected, I have been entrusted with the role and responsibility of serving as the Superintendent of the NC Conference.
Our immediate focus is to honor Bishop Doug Bartlett and his legacy. His fervent devotion to the Lord has left an indelible mark on us all. During his brief time as bishop, he propelled our conference forward with tremendous impact. His dedication to the work of the Lord will forever be etched in our memories and hearts.
In the days to come, we will provide details about arrangements for a celebration of life service. Until then, let us keep the Bartlett family, the congregation of Mount Olive First church, and the entire NC Conference in our prayers. May God’s presence be our guiding light as we navigate the path ahead.
