Gary Wardle Death, Obituary – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Wardle, a cherished member of the community in Harpur Hill. On the 16th of August, 2023, surrounded by his devoted family, Gary peacefully embarked on his next journey, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was 59 years old.
Gary was more than a husband, father, and grandfather; he was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew him. His unwavering love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. As the beloved husband of Wendy, he shared a bond that was a testament to the strength of their love and partnership. His presence illuminated the lives of his daughters, Lucy and Hannah, and his role as a grandad to Gregory brought immense joy and laughter to their days.
Son of Norah and the late Peter, Gary’s upbringing was rooted in the love and guidance of his family. His memory will forever be intertwined with the love he shared with them, as well as the cherished moments he created with friends, family, and his loyal companion, Ted the dog.
In his journey ahead, Gary will be joined by the echoes of the love he bestowed upon us all. To celebrate his life, a funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Buxton on Monday, 11th September 2023, at 11am. As Gary had a heart full of compassion, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to Blythe House Hospice, Windy Ways Trust, or Ashbourne Animal Welfare. These contributions will honor his spirit and extend his legacy of caring.
In the tapestry of our lives, Gary’s thread will forever be woven, bringing warmth and smiles even as we bid him farewell. His impact on our hearts is eternal, and the memories he gifted us will continue to inspire and comfort us in the days to come.
Rest in peace, dear Gary. Your light will forever shine.
