Gilbert Hill Death, Obituary – We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Gilbert “Gibby” Hill, a valued member of ADA’s equipment repair team. Gibby’s presence and dedication were felt not only in his role but also in his close friendship with ADA owner Jim Murphy. Their bond had spanned countless years, making Gibby an inseparable part of the ADA family.
Gibby’s camaraderie with Jim was evident both in their shared moments at camp and their collaborative efforts in repairing stop/slow paddles for ADA. Revered as “the gate man” at our cherished family camp, Gibby possessed a remarkable ability to sense the camp gate’s opening even from a distance across town. In a testament to his devotion, he would promptly arrive within minutes. Gibby’s enduring smile and infectious happiness were his trademarks, spreading positivity to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The void left by Gibby’s passing is immeasurable, impacting everyone within the ADA community and the Murphy Family alike. His memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt. The laughter he brought, the skills he shared, and the genuine warmth he radiated are a testament to his remarkable character.
As we come to terms with this loss, we find solace in the countless memories and moments shared with Gibby. While his physical presence may have departed, his spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the smiles we exchange, and the work he contributed to ADA. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
In fond remembrance, we honor Gibby’s legacy, a shining example of dedication, friendship, and joy. He will forever remain an integral part of ADA’s history and our hearts.
