Jason Cantrell Obituary, Death – In a statement released on Monday, the City of New Orleans informed the public of the passing of the First Gentleman. The death has occurred of Jason Cantrell, who was married to LaToya Cantrell, the current Mayor of New Orleans. His age was 55. In a statement released on Monday, the municipality shared the sad news of the demise of the First Gentleman.
Gregory Joseph, who serves as the director of communications for the mayor, was quoted in the statement as saying, “It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of First Gentleman Jason Cantrell.”
“He was a dedicated public servant who valiantly served the residents of this city not only alongside Mayor Cantrell but also as an experienced family, civil, and criminal attorney,” the statement added. “He was a devoted husband and father, as well as a dedicated public servant who valiantly served the residents of this city.”
“First Gentleman Cantrell will be sorely missed and held dearly in the hearts of his devoted family, members of the New Orleans legal community, and the citizens of New Orleans as a whole.” May he find rest in the everlasting peace that God provides. According to CBS local affiliates WAFB-9 and WVUE-8, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s office stated that the reason and manner of Cantrell’s death “remain under investigation.” RayAnn, Cantrell’s daughter, posted a number of endearing vintage images of the two of them together on Instagram. She captioned the post with a passage of scripture that read: “1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.”
