Jim Murphy Death, Obituary – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Murphy from Killyshene, Palatine, Carlow. On August 24th, 2023, he peacefully left this world while under the compassionate care of the nurses and staff at Hillview Nursing Home in Carlow. Jim’s departure is felt keenly by his extended family and a circle of friends, with a special mention to his close companions David, Hannah, and their family.
Jim’s memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm presence and friendly demeanor left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. As we bid him farewell, we reflect on the good times shared and the smiles he brought to our lives.
A period of repose for Jim will be held at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home on Barrack St., Carlow, on Friday, August 25th, starting from 4:00 PM. The evening will conclude with a heartfelt prayer session at 7:30 PM. On the following day, Saturday, the procession will commence at 10:30 AM, leading to The Holy Family Church in Askea. There, a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM to honor and celebrate Jim’s life. Following the service, his final resting place will be St Mary’s Cemetery.
For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass for Jim will be accessible through the online streaming service provided by The Holy Family Church in Askea, known as the Askea Church webcam. This platform allows friends and family from near and far to join in the memorial and pay their respects virtually.
