He was a devoted father to Cathy Oddo and John J. (Andrea) Oddo, providing guidance, support, and a nurturing presence throughout their lives. John’s love knew no bounds, extending to his role as a loving grandfather to Jack and Samuel, who held a special place in his heart. John was predeceased by two sisters and one brother, yet his legacy of family and connection lived on through his nieces and nephews. The bonds he formed and the connections he nurtured within his family served as a testament to his caring nature and the importance he placed on those he held dear.
Mr. Oddo’s dedication to service extended to his country, as he proudly served in the United States Army. His commitment and sacrifice exemplified the values of duty, honor, and patriotism that define our armed forces. The family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Tonawanda Chapel of the AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., located at 2600 Sheridan Dr. (at Parker Blvd.). On Wednesday, prayers will be offered at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:30 AM. The interment with Military Honors will take place immediately after at Elmlawn Cemetery.
