Lewis R. Slocum Jr. Obituary, Death – It is with great regret that I must inform you that Lewis R. Slocum Jr. left this world on August 12, 2023. He passed away at home in peace. The Slocum family and the town of Ewing have suffered a real tragedy with the passing of Lew. Even while we celebrate the long and eventful life that he led for 101 years, there is no such thing as a lifetime that is long enough for those who are left behind.
Lew had a great company endeavor that has become home to a lot of people in Ewing. He also had a beautiful family, a variety of hobbies, and experienced love and war. Emma, the one and only love of his life, departed away much too soon for everyone. They did, however, leave behind five grandkids and seven great grandchildren, as well as three daughters named Lou Ann, Debbie, and Sharon, and a son named Chip.
We hope that the next time you go bowling, golfing, trap shooting, sip a Manhattan, or watch a baseball game, you would spare a moment to think about a man who shared your passion for those activities and took great delight in his accomplishments in those areas. There is no greater honor than to be remembered by those who knew and loved you while you were here on earth.
