Logan Smith Obituary, Death – After going missing the previous day while swimming in rural Roanoke, the corpse of a 15-year-old kid from Washington was found in a pond on Monday, according to the authorities. He went missing the day before. In a statement, the Woodford County Sheriff’s office reported that first responders were summoned to the pond around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, when a group of juveniles were swimming and playing on a water trampoline.
According to Chief Deputy Chief Tipsword, the adolescent jumped from the trampoline and into the lake, and a few minutes later, the group realized that he had vanished. According to what he claimed, it was unclear if the youngster had emerged from the water first. On Monday, the Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman gave the teen’s name as Logan H. Smith, who was from the state of Washington. According to the coroner, he was declared dead at 11:25 a.m.
on Monday, and early postmortem results suggested that he had drowned, the coroner added.
Tipsword said that the Secor Fire Protection District, the Woodford County Emergency Management Agency Search and Rescue team, and his deputies arrived to undertake a ground search. Additionally, the Hudson dive team was called in to assist with the investigation.
He stated that personnel had been searching the grounds until 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, and that the diving team had worked until after dark. The search was continued before daylight on Monday, and a diving crew located his corpse about eleven in the morning, according to Tipsword. Both the sheriff’s office and the coroner’s office are continuing their investigation into the death.
