Mike Ruggles Obituary, Death – On Friday, August 11, 2023, Michael John Ruggles, who was 62 years old and lived in Antioch, Illinois, passed away. In Waukegan, Illinois, on June 15, 1961, he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Robert and Judith (McNiff) Ruggles. At St. Peter Catholic Church in Antioch, Illinois, on the 16th of August in 1986, Michael and Deborah Adams exchanged vows and became husband and wife. Michael’s priorities in life were his family and his close circle of friends. He never slowed down and always enjoyed his life to the very utmost potential. Michael’s favorite things to do in the great outdoors included flying, waterskiing, and snowmobiling.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family in the mountains or on the lake. Michael was the proud owner of a number of enterprises. He enjoyed expanding his skill set and believed that the more difficult the task, the more rewarding it would be. He cherished his offspring and doted on his grandchildren, especially when it came to passing on his expertise to the next generation. Michael was well-liked for his warm and honest nature, as well as for the fact that he never failed to make his mother and the rest of his family his top priority.
Surviving family members include his wife of 37 years, Deborah; his children, Dennis (Stacey) Adams, Bill (Tracie) Adams, Kimberly (Chris) Gorzelnik, and Michael (Trisha) Ruggles II; his grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Adams, William II and Blake Adams, and Mikayla and Michael Ruggles III; his mother, Judith; his siblings, Sandy (Gary) Preis, Gloria Gajewski (Bill Fox), Robert (Ruth Ann Robert, Michael’s father, passed away before his son Michael was born.
On Thursday, August 17, 2023, a memorial visitation will be conducted from three in the afternoon until seven in the evening at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, which is located at 1055 Main Street, Antioch, Illinois 60002. Following the visitation, the family would like to extend an invitation to Dockers North for appetizers and to honor Michael’s life. This celebration will take place immediately after the visitation.
