Norrisia N. Daniels Obituary, Death – The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reports that Daniels, age 28, was struck by a Volkswagen Tiguan at approximately 1:35 a.m. while she was traveling north on Interstate 170 at Airport Road. The tragic loss of Ms. Daniel so soon after her life began highlights the risks that pedestrians in our country confront on a daily basis. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) reported that there were 6,721 pedestrian deaths in the United States in 2020.
This number represents a 4.8 percent increase from the number of deaths that occurred in the previous year.
An experienced pedestrian accident attorney named Candice Bond linked the rise in the number of pedestrian fatalities to causes including speeding, inattentive driving, and driving under the influence, in addition to traffic conditions that promote motor vehicles over pedestrians.
Bond emphasized that in situations such as this one, it is absolutely necessary to have an impartial investigation carried out by an experienced attorney in order to assist in the protection of the rights of the family of a victim. “Having the appropriate resources is extremely important in order to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, who is the Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “The investigation of a pedestrian accident case is extremely important.”
The state of the roads, the legibility of the traffic signs, and the lighting on the roads are all potential contributory factors that should be taken into consideration and thoroughly investigated. These procedures are essential in order to ensure that those who have suffered the loss of a loved one are afforded the justice and financial recompense to which they are entitled.
