Randall Rice Obituary, Death – After a long and courageous fight against cancer that lasted four years, Randall “Randy” W. Rice, 68, of Milton, Wisconsin, passed away early on Friday morning, August 11, 2023, at his home accompanied by his wife and children. He was the son of Ivan Rice and Eunice (Trescher) Rice and was born on June 19, 1955 in Edgerton, Wisconsin. He was born in Milton and attended Milton schools through his high school years, graduating in 1973.
On October 4, 1980, Randy wed the woman who would become the love of his life, Jackie (Johnson), and together they would go on to raise four children. Randy cherished the time he got to spend with his friends and family. He was involved in the coaching of the youth sports teams that his children played on, took many vacations with his family, and was a huge supporter of Wisconsin sports. Randy felt a sense of accomplishment since he was able to keep the family business, Ivan Rice & Sons, in the Rice family. He thought of his coworkers as an extended family and held them in very high regard. He was a man who was known for his honesty, loyalty, and compassion.
Randy was known for his warm grin and quick wit, which he shared with everyone he knew. He looked forward to seeing each and every one of his nine grandchildren, and he made sure they knew his door was always open for them. Randy is survived by his wife, Jackie; his four children: Ryan (Tina) Rice of Milton, WI, Lance Rice of Milton, WI, Lindsey (Jack Lyons) Rice of Alexandria, VA, and Vanessa (Tony) Collicott of Milton, WI; his nine grandchildren: Mia Rice, Maraea Rice, Mason Rice, and Macy Rice of Milton, WI, Chase Rice of Milton, WI, Betty and Sidney Lyons of Alexandria, VA, and Brecky Both of his parents and his brother, Jim Rice, have passed away before him.
Funeral services will be place at the Milton United Methodist Church on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11 AM, with Pastor Jonathan Kim officiating the ceremony. On Thursday, August 17, 2023, visitation will be conducted from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services location in Milton. On Friday, August 18, 2023, visitation will begin at 10 AM and continue until the start of services at the church.
