Revella Joyce Death, Obituary – Revella Joyce Combs, a vibrant soul aged 72, and hailing from Hazard, KY, has left us with heavy hearts. On Sunday, August 13, 2023, she found solace in her Georgetown, KY residence. Revella’s journey was one of rich experiences and deep connections.
A graduate of M.C. Napier, Revella’s roots were firmly planted in her education. Her spiritual home was Consolidated Baptist Church, where she was a cherished member. She found joy in fishing, melodies that resonated with her heart, and the harmonies of the church choir. However, above all, her heart found its home in the presence of her grandchildren – a testament to the love that she showered upon them.
Born to Marzell Beatty and Mary Lucille Henry Beatty, both of whom preceded her in death, Revella carried forward a legacy that lived within her. She also joins a host of siblings who have embarked on a journey beyond.
Leaving behind a world where her presence resonated deeply, Revella is survived by her devoted Husband, Arthur Combs. Her legacy extends to her two Daughters: Deniese Rivera and Shari Combs of Hazard, KY; a Son, Pete Combs of Georgetown, KY; and her Brothers: Elder Calvin Beatty of Tennessee and Jerry Beatty of Missouri. Her love radiated through her Five Grandchildren: Aneisha, Tre, Devontaye, Kyle, Braylen, and Myles. Her legacy also continues through her Three Great Grandchildren: Chanelle, Serenity, and Kingston.
Revella’s journey was intertwined with a supportive Sister-In-Law, Ruby Wallace, and special Friends: Lenora Combs, Yvonne Jointer, and Donna Gilbert. Her vast network included Nieces, Nephews, and a host of Family & Friends, each touched by her presence.
Arrangements to honor her life are being managed by Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel. On Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the family will receive friends at the chapel. Following this, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Lowell Parker. She will find her resting place at Creekside Memorial Cemetery, Hazard, KY, where her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who cherished her in return.
