Stan Morris Obituary, Death – On August 14, 2023, the world grew a little dimmer as we said goodbye to Stanley A. Morris, a remarkable individual whose presence illuminated the lives of many. Aged 72, Stanley’s journey through life concluded in Fishers, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will forever grace the hearts of those who knew him.
Stanley’s educational journey began at Noblesville High School, where he graduated in 1969, and he continued his pursuit of knowledge at Ball State University, receiving his degree in 1975. His passion for education carried him into a remarkable career as a teacher and athletic director at Hamilton Southeastern Middle School and Junior High. For an incredible 36 years, he impacted countless lives, guiding students and athletes alike with a caring and supportive spirit. Affectionately known as “Stan the Man,” his strong handshake and enthusiasm for leading dodgeball games in gym class left an indelible mark on the memories of his students.
Stanley’s character was rooted in family and community. He was a devoted husband to Christine Morris, a loving father to daughters Jenny Clayton (Brad) and Amy Pigman (Jeff), and a proud grandfather to Cole, Gavin, Brooke Clayton, and Reese, Brayden, and Hadley Pigman. He shared a deep bond with his brother Robert Morris, and his family was truly the heart of his world.
As we celebrate Stanley’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held on August 27th from 10 AM to 1 PM at Stony Creek Club House, located at 10601 Cumberland Rd., Fishers, IN. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to reminisce, share stories, and honor the remarkable journey that Stanley embarked upon.
Stanley’s memory lives on through the laughter he brought, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. He leaves a legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the people and pursuits he held dear. Though he may have passed from our sight, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
